Integration of PayPal with Comersus Cart
Comersus is a popular, free and open source shopping cart developed
in ASP and compatible with almost all Windows Servers. The free
version includes PayPal Standard integration including IPN script
(to update in real time order status, inventory, sales)
Want to download Comersus now? Click in the button below.

Comersus is pleased to launch this section with detailed information
on the options available to use PayPal.
The current version of Comersus Cart supports both PayPal Standard
and Web Site Payments Pro.
This easy setup enables merchants to receive payments with
PayPal funds or credit card, at a convenient discount rate.
PayPal Standard is included in the Free
Distribution of Comersus, so any merchant may add this payment
option. When PayPal Standard is configured, the customer is
redirected to PayPal to place payment. After payment is received,
PayPal servers connect to Comersus securely to inform payment.
Then the merchant can distribute digital goods, update stock
and sales statistics, and maintain synchronized order and payment
records.

PayPal Express Checkout
This option allows customers to check out at PayPal rather
than your Comersus store. After checkout at PayPal, the order
and client data are transferred to Comersus.
Express Checkout is very convenient since it provides customers
with a single and familiar checkout platform. In addition, first-time
customers may feel more comfortable entering their information
within PayPal. After implementing Express Checkout, the PayPal
checkout button is displayed on the shopping cart page, below
the store's regular checkout button. There, customers can choose
one or the other checkout method.
Instructions
1. If you don't have a Verified PayPal Business Account, sign
up here...
2. Go to Profile, Account Information, API Access, Request API
Credentials, select API Signature Radio Button, and copy user,
password and signature
3. Open the PayPal Wizard within BackOffice Plus and copy the
above data
4. Select Express Checkout
PayPal Web Site Payments Pro
This option enables merchants to accept credit card payments without
customers leaving their website. This option also has competitive
discount rates and many additional features such as issuing refunds
and approving payments from BackOffice Plus. In addition to the
Direct Pay credit card payment method, you can also use the popular
PayPal Express Checkout system. Under this system, customers select
products at your store but check out at PayPal. This is a very
convenient option with added security, integrity and privacy for
customer data.
The Comersus implementation of PayPal Web Site Payments Pro uses
the latest VPN and API Signature specifications. This spares merchants
the IT and consulting complexities of installing and assigning
permissions to personal certificates.
Instructions
1. If you don't have a Verified PayPal Business Account,
sign
up here...
2. Go to Profile, Account Information, API Access, Request API
Credentials, select API Signature Radio Button, and copy user,
password and signature
3. Open the PayPal Wizard within BackOffice Plus and copy the
above data
4. Select Express Checkout or Express Checkout plus Direct Pay
You are done! Comersus will configure internally all parameters
necessary to add PayPal integration.
Note regarding SandBox
In order to implement payments in a testing environment you
should create at least two accounts (one to send payments and
a second one to receive them) in the PayPal SandBox. Instead
of loading production data in Comersus, load SandBox account
data. Finally, select Demo Mode within Comersus. Then you will
be able to test the complete purchasing procedure and experience
the customer's perspective of your store, risk-free.
