Website new design and commercial modifications

Comersus is pleased to announce a group of interesting news for the last quarter of 2007.

Based on the feedback received and the new analyzed trends, the Comersus website has been redesigned and reorganized. Now visitors are able to easily compare the Comersus features both of the free version as well as of the Power Pack version. The website news are constantly available in a side bar and the same may be accessed and syndicated via RSS-XML. On the other hand, it is now possible to have access from the home page to specific information for different types of users: store owner without technical knowledge, programmers, companies with multi license needs and resellers. The Resellers page shows all the agents with the services they offer, ordered by country.

Version 7.09

Version 7.09 includes a great quantity of patches and improvements on existing functions such as: File Upload, BackOffice HTML Editor and Newsletters. We have also incorporated some new functions such as the possibility that visitors to the site may add product reviews on the web site Digg.com, links to direct tracking of packages sent using Fedex and UPS and the possibility of cleaning HTML tags for the auto generation of keywords from BackOffice Plus.

Since this is a minor upgrade, you just need to copy the new files in the folders /store /backoffice and load the new settings in the corresponding table.

Pricing and new licenses

Almost from the time it was first launched, the price for Comersus most advanced Power Pack - Premium - was set in $370. This was a very competitive price in relation to the amount of advanced and unique features the shopping cart offered. Those who could not afford the Premium package also had the option of purchasing packages with less features called Basic and Medium.

This flexibility however, confused some of our customers at the time of choosing the most suitable Power Pack. For this reason, Comersus decided to unify these three packages in one. As of September 18, 2007 only one Power Pack will be available. The price of this pack will also have a promotional price of $299.

Comersus is also releasing a new line of product called Multilicense. This new line is designed for those companies that need to install several stores owned by them, with the functions of a Power Pack. It is different from Reseller Kits, since it does not enable customers to resell Comersus but only to install stores of their own. For this reason the price of the package is lower than that of the Kits.

Finally, the historical price per hour of customization has been modified to u$70. Customization and support jobs include analysis and submittal of estimates free of charge, installation at no extra charge, support and guarantee. In order to keep this structure feasible and also taking into account the constant training of our programming technicians, it has become necessary to increase the price per hour.
