Integration with Twitter microblogging

Comersus is an application that was developed over a decade ago. However, it keeps on attracting users looking for a robust e-commerce solution, not only because of its reputation but also due to its innovations.

Web 2.0 brought new challenges to web application developers. Many chose to keep their platforms closed, while others opened the flux of information to achieve a better interaction with external sites and servers.

Comersus included a RSS feed a while ago, for the news generated by the store as well as for the catalog. In this way, external sites can show your store information in a simple and standardized way. But instead of stopping there we realized that many small and medium-sized store owners do not have the time to word content and news and therefore, we also added news auto-generators showing the regular operation of the store regarding issues such as: change of prices, adding of reviews, adding of products, etc.

Then we added an integration with the popular blog system Wordpress and we are now pleased to announce the inclusion in Comersus v7.10 of number 1 microblogging platform: Twitter.

Just by registering at Twitter and loading its user and password in the Comersus Backoffice, any Comersus store owner will generate a flow of automated Tweets towards Twitter, with direct links to the store news.
In this way, the system allows customers to get updates using a popular platform. It also allows generating traffic and improving the page Rank due to the additional links.
