Wordpress plug-in
Date: Jan-15-2008
Connection between Wordpress and Comersus Shopping Cart
Wordpress is a very popular and comprehensive open source
blog application. Many users of this application contacted us
requesting an integration between the e-commerce functionalities
of Comersus and Wordpress. They needed to be able to charge
for subscriptions to paid contents located in Wordpress.
Comersus is pleased to announce the release of a plug-in to
connect Comersus shopping cart to Wordpress.
How the plug-in works:
1. The administrator of the blog must indicate a password for
those posts he wishes to include in the paid subscription.
2. The visitors to the blog will have to enter that password
in order to read the paid contents.
3. Visitors who do not have a password will see a link to purchase
the subscription password.
4. That purchase link will redirect users to Comersus shopping
cart.
5. Within Comersus, the user will be able to enter payment and
obtain the password through an e-mail in real time.
6. The user should then enter the password at Wordpress and
have access to the contents.
The blog administrator also has a function within Comersus BackOffice
to modify the password given to Wordpress articles, whether
by means of a Post ID or through a global password change.
Requirements:
1. Wordpress
2.3 or superior
2. Comersus should be installed using a mySQL database and it
should share the same database in which Wordpress has been installed.
3. Comersus Power Pack
